Joy King (1937-2016) was a country singer and renowned yodeler from Knoxville, Tennessee. In the 1950s and 1960s she traveled around playing on local barn dance shows and at coffeehouses in Tennessee and Florida. She recorded sparingly in the 1960s and 1970s, including a single "Taking Chances" backed with "Laughing Girl", which was recorded with members of the Nashville A-Team. She was a popular attraction in Gatlinburg during the 1960s. Joy also released a few LPs in her career: two with country singer Eddie Nash and the solo LP uploaded here.
